I decided to see how well the new computer would go on ultra high settings so I did a flight from Wanganui to New Plymouth.

Sadly it did not go to well but never to mind.

Leaving Wanganui (Scenery was set to the max but I changed it half way through)

looks like you suffered from the same texture problems that i do when i turn everything on ultra high
by the way, there's a fix for the new plymouth VOR, i think lowellyerex made it.

The first screenies are great- I found I had the blurry cockpit and aircraft texture problem when I installed FSX on my low spec system too :(

ow 5fps, nasty. Quite nice screenies thow

I did this on a 600mhz machine wth fs9, the whole system just gave up and shut down

So what specs is your pc? Even I get better than 5frames over water like that..

Processor - ADM Athlonx2 3800+ (2 GHz) Dual Core

RAM - 512 MB

Video Card - Radeon x1300 (64 MB I think)

I adjusted the FPS from 20 to 30 and also autogen and scenery to the max

You should think about upping the RAM to 2GB, as a minimum.
It's out of step with your machine's capabilities.

Well. I would say. Get some more RAM, and a new Video Card. FSX needs alot of hardware to run smoothly (I don't have FSX, but I know it from a couple of friends).

I don't know what soundcard you have, but I have seen that an onboard soundcard can get the FPS down. So deactivate the onboard soundcard, and get yourself a new plug-in card. They often have much better quality in the sound.
