Unless you came from Scott Base maybe?

But what a shot, overhead the FW!
I've never actually opened it from that side myself.

Great shots, SP. The 747 looks stunning.
The 190 in RAFwaffe colours is amazing. I'm sure the groundcrew in 1426 (Enemy Aircraft ) Aircraft Flight spent hours cleaning her. :D

Charl, you're correct re the 747...departed McMurdo 8 hours prior.....ok, I didn't ;)

Simon, was 1426 the unit Captain Eric Melrose "Winkle" Brown was posted to ?

SP, after a quick look through Captain Eric Browns book, Wings of the Luftwaffe,I read that he commanded the Enemy Aircraft Flight.
What an amazing man he was.
