I've paid $15.00 and I have a Harvard in 2020....with a paint I don't want or need.


But...can I add NZ liveries to this? I could try, but thought I would ask first.
Not in a good frame of mind at the moment...everything pisses me off, so if you can help, it will be appreciated.

Most Harvard textures are meant for the Reno pack, that includes the 4 Reno aircraft (and that includes 6 utterly stupid T-6 textures btw), and so they will not work with your version I think.
But you can always try to adapt the repaints to your model, and maybe then they do work. It will at least involve changing the aircraft.cfg file

I think this line would need to change from
[VARIATION]
base_container = "..\Asobo_T6_Reno"

to [VARIATION]
base_container = "..\asobo-aircraft-t6-reno-eros"

and you will probably have to copy the texture.cfg from you eros texture folder to the repaint texture folder.

The problem is I cant find anything that looks like this.

ah, sorry, I changed everything already, just park the file in the zip in your community folder and see if it works and you have a Harvard repaint?

Could it be a steam thing ? Maybe it will only work if I buy the whole pack ... something missing because I only purchased that one paint ...

Strange thing, I was looking at some repaints on .to .... Harvards over the commonwealth, and there was a message telling me I don't own the T.6 ?? strange .

Marty I have tried locating an earlier post of mine but failed, sorry.
I recall buying all and every thing called Reno or Harvard or T-6 on the Marketplace before lighting up any repaints, JK included.
It's a complete mess, and also $$$

Thanks Charl , I have just finished doing exactly that .....THE WHOLE Reno T6 pack, deleted all the repaints from JK and replaced them in the community folder...nothing.
Two of them show up in the content manager as installed , but don't show up.
I guess my Harvard life will be in 2024 ....and even there the T6 free ware addon machine is fickle.

I give up It was all done through steam today so I might try for a refund....I'm not remotely interested in Reno paints .....
It was an interesting exercise looking back .....the way I was blindly throwing money at this thing just to try and fix it, such is the addiction I think.

Charl, I remember the good old daze, downloading new paints....put them in the texture folder, make the changes in the aircraft cfg file...click on "save" job done.
But now a simple texture change can very quickly become an expensive exercise in both time and money

While looking at liveries on .to , I found one artist who mentioned a specific T6 model that the paint would show up in ...in this case "6Cat" , so I tried 2 and .....

If that works on your model, then adapting the other paints should be possible as well.

JK , some more progress .... your paint got through but with a few extra bits. shows up with the 6 CAT model.



Charl, I only got the T6 package...I might grab the whole reno thing and see what happens yes.
