"Wolfpack" P-47s refer to the legendary 56th Fighter Group of the U.S. Eighth Air Force in World War II, commanded by Hubert "Hub" Zemke, famous for flying the robust P-47 Thunderbolt and achieving the most aerial victories of any USAAF fighter group in Europe, known for their aggressive "energy fighting" tactics and producing top aces like Gabby Gabreski and Robert S.
