How to make a manual scenery cache in MSFS, if your internet is not the best, or if you want to fly a specific region such as only in New Zealand ALL the time, you can create cache of higher quality scenery for that area, and fly it offline.

Watch this non flying User Interface tutorial a 15 minute video from BelGeode's You Tube Channel, he will show you how to make a manual scenery cache. Using his native born country, the entire island of Jamaica as an example, at various quality levels.

This seems to be big problems at the moment with manual caching. You can have a go but I tried to do the top of South Island all the way from West Coast Nelson to Blenheim to Wellington in high resolution took ages to highlight then the download took an hour then only was like 1.3 megabytes and slowed my system write down to 1 or 2 frames i will be doing it again once they fix it i may even do all nz one night.

I have downloaded all of NZ and Chatham Islands, 104,857,600KB
But now how do I fire up MSFS2020 in the offline mode?

Yep it took about 8 or 9 hours to do the lot all in low res with most main towns and cities in medium and heaps of airports in high res then the download I started and went to bed was done when I got up so don't know how long it took.

Try looking at Options, General, then Data under Data Connection, look at Online Functionality if it's set to On then set to OFF
