Windows Update KB3086255 can disable some FS2004 installations where CD4 is still used.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Locked as I am in the year 2006... FS2004 on WIN XP SP2 (no updates) I am immune!

For years the no-CD crack has been taboo on the major forums.
Ironic indeed that MS through an update broke FS9 so it cannot be run as designed from the 4th CD.

Long live the Luddites.

Most exciting flightsim time of my life was a DOS-based wireframe bomber that would run out of fuel if you didn't fly the right profile.
When it crashed, so did your 286 computer
