P3D install issues

Postby Aviator 1 » Wed Jul 29, 2015 11:40 am

Hi I have taken the plunge to P3D but having installer issues. What happens is, After downloading the program you get two .cab files 1 and 2 after that you download the installer.
When I download the installer and start installing, it will ask for me to select the drive the .cab flies are in. Which I have done and the installer will load to around half way and that's it.
Then it says fail

Any help please I have also :google:

Did you choose to download in parts, or the whole thing at once? If parts, there are 6 CAB files, plus the installer. However I've only ever used the full download, and I don't recall what was in it. Since it is a ZIP, it might just be the 6 CAB files...
Either way, it sounds like you don't have all of it downloaded.

Hi Yes I downloaded the entire download not the parts. Then the exe it says after installing. In the file it gives .cab 1 .cab 2. When I click the installer it wants to know a area to find the files so I cick on the rar file for 1 and 2 gets to half way and fails the install

Are you running the installer from the Zip file? You'll need to unzip them first, otherwise the installer won't find the second part.

Yes, but I don't think I'll be repairing the phone myself now, and I can't afford to send it somewhere. Do you use Skype?
