Weird, I installed that a few hours ago too (Should be installed after your scenery btw) but didn't get those issues. Only notable issue at NZQN is the river to the left of the airport is a little bit of a dipper with the water at the banks slightly higher but other than that, perfectly fine...

It really is a roller coaster with ORBX , the NZSI SP3 seems to recreate the same or build on elevation issues which was a debate, I charged in at the beginning , maybe a Service Pack 4 a SP4 laying levels to suit the AIP layout and ground levels "ALT's" - little silly having two elevations one default or VLC and the other not correspond to true levels - why it was changed in the first place I don't why.Last edited by Ian Warren on Fri Aug 08, 2014 6:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Bob , Over last few days been getting silly errors and all sorts off problems and this a fresh install, FR dropped seriously, buildings disappearing, this all on a new but for a processor, new PC, speaking to others and they are also having problems , seems everyone has a different issue.

Hi Ian
I've noticed a hit on frame rates lately too but hadn't attributed it to SP3 until you mentioned it.
Taxiing in to NZCH was quite noticeable.
My system is running at 4.2MHz too.
Tempted to uninstall it again if it going to be like that.

A processor at 4.2 ... crikey wonder what the cause is , nothing really special about the Christchurch update, with your 4.2 , how much RAM and what is your graphics card?

However, I can't get Real NZ Wanaka/Tekapo working. Even with uninstalling, re-installing and running the Real NZ patch again the scenery is a mess. NZ Nelson looks okay at first glance, but that too may have some minor problems.
Anyone got any solutions?

I'm still yet to install Real NZ Wanaka , thats a primary scenery for us warbird lovers as with the Marlborough scenery .

It's just a mild overclock.
CPU is Intel i7 3770K on a Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard.
It has 8GB Ram & GeForce GTX 660ti graphics.

The problem is that the NZSI SP3 patch puts some files back which my installer disables by changing the file extension. So the solution is to find these duplicates, and get rid of the active Orbx versions.
For example, with Wanaka, search your FSX folder for 'NZWF'.
You'll probably get a dozen or more files. Some will be in the RealNZwanaka folder, some in the Orbx folders, and a couple in Scenery\World\Scenery.
The ones you need to check are in ORBX\FTX_NZ\FTX_NZSI_05_SCENERY\scenery and Scenery\World\Scenery.
Make sure the search results are sorted in name order, and look for Orbx files which have both a .bgl and a .bak extension. (You may need to make sure that known extensions are visible.)
If you find duplicates, and they both have the same file date, then just delete the .bgl file.
If the .bgl file has a later file date (that is, it was changed by the patch) then delete the .bak version, and rename to .bgl version to .bak
Simple, eh?
Do that for any airports which you have problems with.
If Wanaka still doesn't work well, then try running the Southern Lakes Switcher, and toggling FTX-compatibility off and on again. The Switch should be in your Start menu under Godzone\Southern Lakes
Later scenery will have installers which tidy up this sort of problem, but so far only the Subscription scenery installers use this.Last edited by toprob on Sun Aug 10, 2014 11:24 pm, edited 1 time in total.
