ILS Glide-slope at NZWP U/S

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby HercFeend » Fri Jan 31, 2014 4:41 pm

Hi

I've got a weird one here........

The glide-slope indication (on the HSI and or ILS/VOR Inst) has stopped working when at NZWP.

The glide-slope indication works at other aerodromes i.e. NZAA. Also the glide-slope indicator is working at NZWP on another PC.

Both PCs running the same a/c, either a PA44 (HSI) or C172 (ILS/VOR), both running FSX SP1 & Reality XP G430.

Is anyone able to shine some light of the cause of this anomaly please?

Cheers
Herc

I'll give it a try , have you tried other default aircraft ? .. I don't have 'Reality XP G430' .. I do wonder if that could be the cause , but i will check .

Hi Ian

Yes have tried it with other default a/c. It doesn't work with any a/c at WP, but does (with both) at AA. On the other PC it works with both a/c at WP.

Indeed, I'm unsure if it's RealityXP or the FSX install, although the fact it works on the other PC (also with RXP) is making me think it's FSX. The only thing is, I don't know where to look to fix it sad.gif

Thanks for the help.

Problemo solved.

There's nothing like a complete uninstall followed by a fresh install (both FSX & Reality XP) to sort things out.

All working now. The only thing different is I haven't reinstalled ORBIX scenery. Maybe that had something to do with it........ Who knows!!

So many issues with the Big O and its scenery addons - two most prominent is elevations and gable roofs textures for us scenery designers , would surprise me if it affected other area's .
