Anyone have access to a md500e?

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hi all
The MD project is coming along but I am wondering if anyone can help with some measurements of the MD500e instrument Panel.
I have the measurements of the top part of the panel where the gauges are but I am looking for the following measurements that I have marked in red on the photo.

Cheers

If you have a diagram of the panel and a known dimension of one part, then you can scale the picture to fit that measurement which will give you a properly sized picture (i.e. Measurements on any part of the image will be to scale)

Hi Rhys, I can measure it up tomorrow if you still need it? this nor-west is keeping the hangar doors shut so providing I remember can do it no problem. Anything else you need?

Yes please H500Fan wub.gif

I can start building the panel once the measurements are in. The cockpit is just about completed just the curved nose section to be done, then weld it all in place, and after 5 years since I started the project is all down hill from here laugh.gif Are you in the Wairarapa?

Cheers

right...got them! sorry first day I forgot then we got busy then managed to get the weekend off.
longest measurement is 445mm
across panel at bottom of curvature is 230mm
short depth 110mm
longer depth (bottom red line) is 195mm.

Yep I'm in the Wairarapa, anytime you want to come and have a look just sing out, and if you need a test pilot I'd be keen to give it a go!
