FLASH EARTH appears to be more up-to-date than Google Earth. Might be handy if you want an accurate reference.

ooer...maybe not. Upon closer inspection, the "new" hangar I was looking at was, in fact, the 'old' one.

Another interesting map to add to my map collection!

I always find it terrifying to zoom into a particular area (Los Angeles/San Francisco?) and realise just how much of the scenery has been completely swallowed up by human population!

The earth is rapidly becoming a concrete car park!

'fraid not. Just compare Wigram...

Good to have another reference though - thanks. (I lose too much time delving into G. Earth as it is!)

Yeah...sorry...I was a bit over-enthusiastic at discovering a new hangar that wasn't in Google..but merely a 'mirage of my own imagination'.

Aren't you glad I'm only a pilot in the Virtual World? lol

I suppose, now that "Google Street View" has been scanned by road; from now-on, it will always be out-of-date, unless it is all scanned by road again?

..and how often is "Google Earth" up-dated?

Its all a bit of a mystery to me, how its all done!

Just remember that google tends to use the 'best' rather than newest imagery in google maps- in google earth you can view Historical imagery' which usually includes newer imagery (but of lower quality).
