Flightsim Meet in Auckland - Dec 15th

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby JonARNZ » Tue Nov 20, 2012 10:12 am

This is a heads up for interested folk that a real-world Flightsim meet is happening at Ardmore Airport on December 15th. It's sponsored by my website with boxed product generously provided by the Flightsim Store and Godzone for a few giveaways we will be doing on the day.

Entry is free, there is tons of parking and all are very welcome. The day is about simflying so we encourage people to bring their PC's and show off your skills, add-ons etc. We have space for around 10 systems, just make sure you bring a multi-box.

A projector will be set up and we will be holding 'Aircraft Repaints 101' and 'Aircraft Model building 101' talks during the day for those interested. If you have something you would also like to share let me know.

This will be a great opportunity to show of your sim, be it FSX, FS9, X-Plane etc, and become totally sim saturated with fellow enthusiasts. We will be located in the Ardmore Airport Conference facilities on the threshold of the old 07 runway.

How much would I like to be there? Sounds like a great idea and I absolutely love Ardmore.

So frustrating to be 12,000 miles away angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif

Have a great time, guys. thumbup1.gif cheers1.gif

Maybe if there's ever a meet when I'm over in NZ (usually August)?

Be great to see whoever can make it, as I have said all are very welcome.

Just wanted to let everyone coming know that we have some pretty cool stuff to give away on the day. Everyone who walks through the door goes into a draw for the chance to win a couple of what I think are pretty awesome prizes.

Prize 1 - Boxed editions of:

ConcordeX
Mega Airport Munich
Real NZ Nelson
Real NZ Supercity Auckland and
Real NZ Southern lakes Adventures

Prize 2 - Boxed editions of:

Just Flight/CLS 747-200/300 series
Aerosofts Holiday Airports (4 airports)
Real NZ Nelson
Real NZ Supercity Auckland and
Real NZ Southern lakes Adventures

The goods news is that with the Exception of ConcordeX and the RealNZ sceneries, all the other box sets have both FSX and FS9 versions included.

Doors open at 10 but if you are thinking about bringing your rig, we will be setting up from 9am.

Cheers guys.

Hi Guys,
Would love to come to an experience like this but it's not near Wgtn and I'm not in travelling condition.
Great prizes too.
Hope someone takes plenty of pics of my current interests like multi screens. separate instrument panels & small semi portable cockpits.
I'll be there in thought so have a really informative and fun meet.
Cheers,
Brian
