Tempting the Wallet

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby SeanTK » Fri Dec 07, 2012 11:53 am

There are a number of addons coming out soon that fit right in with where and what I like to fly! How tempting!

FlyTampa's CYUL Montreal (due probably in January at the latest according to their forum)

OryxSim (not OrbX...this is a different, small developer) CYYZ Toronto (unsure on release timeframe)

Virtavia Mi-24D Hind (probably just a few months out)

RAZBAM Fairchild Metroliner (probably out sometime in the first few months of 2013)

Aerosoft An-2 Colt (early 2013)

SibWings An-2 Colt (probably early-mid 2013)

MilViz 737-200 (unknown release timeframe)

PMDG DC-6 (unknown release timeframe)

Aerosoft DHC-6 Twin Otter (probably spring 2013)

MilViz MiG-29 Fulcrum (further down the road probably 2014)

There are more too but the above is what has captured my attention!

Keep track of the PMDG DC-6 everyday for updates .. think that is one to save for anyone , think it would be most impressive , the Metro is also going to be a hot potato cool.gif

+1 Ian. Looking forward to that Metro.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Yeah the Metro for me too, plus you never know CS or PMDG might sneak a completed 777 out on us soon (that'd be an awesome xmas pressie)?

Its not hard to believe the time frames due in model builds due to customers saying that's not correct and that not .. this is not right .... I was pleased to here SeanTK jumped in and brought RealNZ Nelson and I guess that's his Chrissy Prezz ... as i queried VLC or Orbx because thought Sean had both , but there ya go "Tempting the Wallet" cool.gif

I'm definitely looking forward to the Metroliner, and the Sibwings AN-2. And the MiG-29 from MilViz!

I'm really really hoping for a PDMG 777. The 737NGX is fantastic and I can only imagine the 777 will be better!

Orbx England is seriously tempting as well...must resist, must resist.....

and not long until Santa will be delivering either......

To all NZFF members reading this, I would LOVE a bottle of good whisky...to steady the hand on landings.

smooth landings.

I'm waiting for the rest of the UK to be released before I get OrbX England, I know they're doing Wales at the moment and I presume Scotland and probably Ireland will follow. In the meantime OrbX NZ will keep me going for plenty of time!

Bahhhh. I couldn't resist. I have the spine of an amoebae. Looking very nice so far but the colours are wasted out a little happy.gif Not surprising given it's winter!

I do have an issue and it's one I've never had before. Perhaps this isn't the right thread and I can start another but I had the dreaded g3d.dll flying over London. A quite search reveals it's quite popular it seems. Anyone with any history of resolving that? I did update FSUIPC and it didn't return over one flight.

I've just paid close to £28 for England and wouldn't be keen shelling out another £28 for each new territory!

That's why I'm waiting, because it's normally cheaper to buy as a bundle package.
