Done. Hope our requests are heeded. There's a lot of potential for a simple but far more functional startup screen/application than the old FSX GUI. Every parameter supported in the saved flight format could be selectable.

P3D 1.4 running like a charm here (it was the first thing I did once I got home) and I'm also now using the FPS limiter built in to the newer nVidia drivers, set at 30. Very pleased with the results from both.

I spend eleven months of the year in the UK and one in NZ. I'm hoping to improve that... ;-)

Something I have recently noticed is the build up of aircraft listed as FSX to P3D , obviously there is a course change and i think it may be better to get another HD and purchase P3D , i'd have a better reasoning and to compare how or what the difference really is .

I can't comment on something I haven't purchased... Yet.
However reading the post you linked, I think I would get annoyed quite quickly. A Post flight setup screen would have to be a must wouldn't it?
Bugger changing the time or season and having to wait for another load for each. Waiting on REXE to do it's thing is bad enough (but well worth it...and it only dos it once).
Waiting till next month when I have some BB quota to play with, and a CCard that isnt waiting on work to reimburse.
Only thing I am really worried about in going Pre3d is losing the PMDG 737NGX and the others I have purchased from them. Or will they be making a port over? Happy to pay a few extra dollars for a Pre3d licence.

Lets face it MS have given up on FSimming so lets follow and support someone who will put in the yards to make a Great FlightSim for those interested in it.

Not only in the Air, but Land and Sea also... Has to be an Improvement.

I tired of seeing my No 1 core maxing to 100% down to 43% and back again (logitech G15 keyboard with LCD). If Pre3d can utilise more Graphics and less processor then I will be jumping ship quite quickly.

Just my point of view. And a few delevopers as well as they seem to be jumping onboard with Pre3d with duel licences.

Again watching this one with interest , mentioned i don't have yet myself , but its going to to be years before MSFS is going to fade away , a history that in it's own right will have a legacy , the one thing that gets me is the continual build , now up to 1.4 , we don't see many screens yet , Xplane is another looking at and budging into the market but i think that will fizzle out like FLY1/II/II and the FlightUnlimited1/II/ III series if P3D really takes off .

To be honest I didn't think anyone used the startup screen.. so I hadn't noticed that P3D didn't have one... First thing I do in FS9/FSX is get rif of the horrid gamey looking start screen <lol> Ahh well, each to their own I guess.
In my sim I always start with the same plane in the same place, while on my desktop PC I start from where I last finished, as I said "each to their own" smile.gif

Actually Ian, for the average simmer FSX is fine as long as they are happy with it in its current state. However, if you are using it for real world flying then you would want the bugs ironed out. I for one am keen on seeing a flight sim that really simulates real world flying. Even though FSX is good, it is really not great for those who want this. It would be good though to have things like nav aids, magnetic variation, and weather be updated as these are variable over time. That's my little tid bit.

Weather is a primary , in Canterbury we get winds that decide the fate of a flight , the famous North/West wind , it fans and fuels people to even in recent years having a triple7 circling wonder which runway to land on , can P3D have extreme weather in which requires landing instead of default 02/20 to change to 29/11 at the change in real world weather ? and AI to follow the weather pattern .
