One possible negative - the use of the default DC3 VC, not one of the best.

I took a first few spins with Manfred's new gal - and I love it!
The lack of VC doesn't bother me at all, for I use the MAAM 2D pit, boosted up to 16:10 aspect ratio with some advanced avionics installed...

I also took a quick glance into the paint kit: Looks like it won't be a big deal to smash some decent RNZAF of NAC colours onto this Dak. Anyone interested?

Cheers,
Markus.

Hi Markus
What I would be interested in is a wartime RNZAF repaint. Are you able to do one (or more) of these?
Cheers

really nice model but the cockpit window frames arent right,..too much outward rake they should be almost vertical...other than that its superb. Im having a go at repainting the stock VC to improve the look of it some..

It's a pity all these wonderful models never have Virtual Cockpits!

It's always a question of reference material!
A handpainted profile drawing won't help me at all, for I don't trust any profile drawings.
Some convincing war-time-contemporary images would be a great source!

Dumb question of the day:
Does the wartime RNZAF Dak paint differ significantly from the RAF versions (besides rego and roundel)?

Concerning the VC:
Manfred is currently working on an upgrade:

Stop-gap solution available here:

Don't bother the repaint - just use the tweaked VC!

Cheers,
Markus.
