Not the best spot for VOR

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hey folks, haven't posted much, but have browsed and used a lot of great info from the posts in here.

I have to ask, was the coder for FSX disgruntled the day he wrote in the New Plymouth airport? smile.gif Does anyone else have a VOR station sitting at the end of the runway? If so how do I get rid of it.

It's the first time landing at NP (well second time actually, I came in from the north and discovered it with full impact, much to my joy) angry.gif hehe

yup there is a fix over at flightsim.co.nz for that, look under the scenery section and download the Taranaki Region under Regions

I must admit, that one creases me up every time I use that airport. I haven't even bothered to fix it, as it always gives me a laugh winkyy.gif

did anyone manage to get a fix for the gps and NP? i am still keeping well away from using the GPS anywhere near NP lest we get a crash on approach!!!
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.
