Just to clarify. The dvds are too good a watch to give away per se.My proposal is to 'lend' them out to members. As long as they are not damaged,I would be happy for this to continue. What does it cost to post a dvd?Shouldn't be more than $2 each way.I will contact Ian Warren to discuss further.Ian.

how about a step-library sort of system
everyone emails in the requested DVD they would like to see and it gets put in a list - first come first served sort of thing- the list is then published here in the forums and the disk is mailed out to the
first person.
each person is given a time limit (ie either 2 or 4 weeks - to be decided)
when they have either finished with the DVD or their time is up then they send it directly to the next on the list and remove their name - this reduces the postage and saves hoki1185 which is only fair as he's the one making such a fine gesture. It should also give a track of where the DVD is at any time.
if no one else is on the list then it gets 'returned to base'.
just some thoughts anyway
cheers all
Ian Warren makes a good point that without any incentive to return dvds in a timely fashion, the hassle would be all mine trying to get them back.I am also sure that there are members out there who would appreciate access to this collection and would respond in kind. But who are the latter?Ian W speaks from experience.I would like to keep control of my collection so would want to see dvds out and back to me.Something that might work would be:put up a $50 security(approx cost of a dvd)watch as many vids as you want at postage cost only and pick up your $50 when you have had your fill.If you don't return dvd in atimely fashion or damaged ,you lose your 50 and the dvd is replaced from your deposit.I won't kill the idea off for now and await feedback.Even if I just end up dealing with a couple of Forum members. These dvds are expensive to purchase but I'm still keen to share in the right circumstances. If you havn't watched airliner cockpit videos previously, these vids will take your simming to a new level in the same aircraft you fly in FS.Ian W will probably roll his eyes at this entry but I owe Towerguy some sort of reply/option.Ian H.(hoki1185).Last edited by hoki1185 on Thu Jun 11, 2009 6:58 pm, edited 1 time in total.
