Basically they are moving to the system that the rest of the world uses

They are going to setup some computer based testing centres... you rock on up... pay them $$$, they sit you at a pc... clickety clickety for X number of questions... you click submit and you'll be told instantly whether or not you have passed or failed...
Obviously, there is a little bit more to it, but that is generally how it works... I think they were saying that you might have to pre-book your timeslot to guarantee that they can fit you in etc...
I think this also means they are going to move to a system where you can sit exams whenever you like (during business hours of course)... so you will no longer be constrained to their timetable... of like 1 or 2 days a month

Not sure how they are going to work Nav (i'm not sure they know either)... given that apparently the exam is made up for you when you log in (it randomly draws questions from a big giant pool)... but with Nav you need the appropriate charts and 'story' etc...
Last I heard, they have already setup a "test" test centre down in welly HQ... they were doing some PPL ones...
This is why I am keen to get my CPLs done... don't want to have to get involved with the new system until it has been running for a while and they have had a chance to work all the kinks out...
