Virtual Air New Zealand update.

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Gidday guys,

As some of you may have noticed the old website has been closed down - will not go into details, but as some of you know that we have been having problems.

The good news is that we are just about up and running with the new one just going thru the motions to get little bugs out of it before we go live. The new web address is http://www.virtualairnz.com go have a look and see what you think.

For our members that stayed with us we have got all hours up untill end of december so as you join you will be able to get your hours reinstated.

We will let people know as soon as we are up and running.

Cheers
Ian White

Best of luck with the revamp/re-install!

I'm a total noob with respect to virtual airlines, but may give this a little whirl (when you're up and running). However - trawling the site in its current form, I couldn't see how it all works. eg. How do you file flight plans, how are they "marked" etc. etc. This may be blindingly obvious to peoiple with previous VA experience - but I haven't a clue, and need to know whether I'd be "up to it" before I applied. Maybe your FAQ page is "work in progress".

Anyway - in my trawlings, I spotted a few "pilot's" that should be "pilots" winkyy.gif

Yes the FAQ is a work in progress, we'll be fleshing it out over the next day or two.
Thanx for looking over the site Adamski and pointing these things out, oh and don't worry you will definitely be "up to it" thumbup1.gif
Would probably be better if people PM us rather than fill up the forum here with feedback about the site.

As long as it doesn't have air traffic controllers, has crash detection off, unlimited fuel, no crosswinds ... laugh.gif
OK - I'll take this to PM smile.gif

Great!

Will everybody still be on the roster with the correct hours (such as myself) automatically or do I have to re apply?

If you were an active staff member at the VA then your old hours can be retained.
Can you send me a PM with your VANZ staff name/number? (e.g. Fred Dagg/NZ123)

As a matter of interest, I've flagged all aircraft in the NZFSIM repaints site that happen to be in the VANZ fleet. Just put "VANZ" in the search field. New_Zealand_etc.gif

If anyone knows of other VANZ aircraft repaints that aren't on NZFSIM, please let me know!
