Rebuilding FS9

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby Naki » Tue Oct 28, 2008 9:28 pm

Been thinking about what aircraft/scenery/enhancements etc I am going to install into my third iteration of FS9.
The list of add ons I think I will use this time around:

Section8 Sabre

Isn't that the truth. From a guy who used to fly Sim aircraft, I have become a scenery and aircraft compiler. Similar in a way to collecting stamps
I suppose... drool.gif said he as he scrolled down to "NZ Sceneries coming shortly."

I probably could live with that - Marlborough and the Sabre but................

I will add some scenery first (all of the Godzone stuff first) and the 20m mesh as I don't think I could handle flying around in a naked FS9 - then get the Sabre and then the other add ons come a little later.

I have made a list of aircraft and scenery I want to add and there was least 30 payware & freeware aircraft and about the same number of airports. Some of the older ones I don't use wont make it this time including most of the big iron & helicopters. Then there is a huge amount of AI, Active Sky, airport enhancements, water enhancements etc etc.............................

I think I have your addiction when it comes to aircraft Barry I just collect them - maybe fly them once and then stuff them back into the hanger.

.......and I definitely haven't forgotten about your scenery Lawrie - I don't think I will catch up though!

Be interesting to see your final choice on the "Basic Essentials" rebuild, once you're back up and running...
People who do polls are aware of the phenomenon that people say one thing, and then do something completely different! laugh.gif
My sim always just seems to happen, all by itself.
I see FS9 has bloated to 260,000 files again - on the spare HDD: downloads, pending and Used Planes Lot is 158GB *Sigh*

That's the way I am with add-on airports. I have become a fenatic on collecting outstanding pay-ware airports from developers like Aerosoft, Sim Giants, Sim Wings, FSDream Team, Cloud9, Blue Print Simulations and Imagine Simulations. plane.gif
