Joy Stick

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

I'm in AANZ on the shore, I went to Harvey Norman, Noel Leeming, PB Tech and no one has a flight Sim joy stick of any sort. Has anyone seen one while out and about at all, on the shore is possible?

Welcome to the forum....... laugh.gif

Can't help you with "on the Shore" but Harvey Norman at Tauranga had a choice of four last week-end, surprised they had none.

Got any specific gaming shops over there ?

There's been a number of posts on here re "what's hot and what's not" as far as joysticks are concerned. May pay you to do a search
before you lay out your bucks...

Cheers

What kind of a stick are you after? If you're anywhere near Birkenhead, pop over - I may have an old one or two that may tide you over for a while winkyy.gif

There's a seller on Trademe that sells (new) CH stuff direct.

Dick Smith sell joysticks, that's where I bought mine a few years ago.
None that are FS specific but just general, quite cheap joysticks.
I think I paid $30 or so for mine.

Yeah I bought a DSE one, lasted me about 3 months. Wouldn't recommend them, you get what you pay for.

The Saitek Cyborg Evo listed above is a great one, I have a non force-feedback one that I got at the Gamesman for about $70. If you want something better, A yoke and Rudder pedals are what you need. Try Lemonaid.

They're not great, no.
Mine lasted two years of really solid use and it's still usable now, but sometimes it can be a bit weird.

if you are looking for a good robust joystick i can highly recommend the thrustmaster t flight stickthat can be brought fro any harvey norman store for $100 but i has all the fsx keys preset so u can fly right out the box with no set ups or programeing also if u need a rudder control it has this feature with a selectable rudder lock out and resistance nob so i would suggest this as a very cheap but high quality joy stick hope this helps
