Hiya GEEWNZ, welcome to NZFF smile.gif

Are you the guy I flew with a few times on the Inspire FS Server years ago (I think I have some screenies somewhere we took and shared with each other), you sent me a copy of the Tga AeroClub Scholarship thing? Glad you found the forum.

That's a nice looking plane!

Yupp! One and the same Mat, and thanks everyone for your encouraging feedback.

Trolly - yes I'm modelling this one myself. It's modelled after the current SAANZ President's own aircraft stored out at Waihi Beach airfield. I was lucky enough to get a flight in it a couple of years ago and access for photos.

Thanks Naki, for organising the meeting! Not a bad turnout at all, and it was good to put some names to faces at last smile.gif
One unexpected bonus was after we went our separate ways, I wandered on down to the gliding club to catch up with a few of the lads and got roped in to setting up a sim computer for another club...
they got rather excited about the prospect of soaring around a highly detailed NZ, with accurate representations of the machines we use and the conditions we fly in - I'll keep you all posted as to progress on that

No problems - heck I should of hung around and went over to the gliding club - sounds interesting

Hi guys.
Nice to meet a few of you at the recent meet.
As NAKI has stated, I'm working on the development of a home-built Europa model, having been inspired by the series on SKY TV a few years ago - "A Plane is Born".

Still some way off completing the model, but here is a pic by way of a teaser...

Hope you like...

Cheers.

I like very much - its looking very good! (like the setting too).

You should start a separate thread so we can follow the progress - even if it is slow. I look forward to seeing more shots!

Next time we WILL have a few PCs set up so we have something more to talk about and see.

Thanks for posting.
I think the aircraft in question is the De Havilland DH-114 Heron.
