This guy was apparently number 3 of 4 when he got caught in wake turbulence from the two aircraft ahead of him.
I’d say he had an extremely lucky escape.

It's shocking and impressive at the same time, just goes to show the amount of danger that can come out of something as simple as moving air.Gavin Conroy wrote:QUOTE (Gavin Conroy @ Apr 7 2008, 07:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>These shots were waiting for me when I got home from Wanaka. I know who took them and they are real.
Thought so. Pretty impressive really, he was a lucky bugger.
I can reomve the pics if your friend isn't ok with them being on here. Just thought they were pretty amazing.

I doubt it matters that they are here and am surprised how long they took to get on the net.
With edited photos anything is possible. I spoke to the pilots following afterwards and they saw the whole thing so thats the reason why I thought the photos must be real when they arrived and totally understand why people would think they might not be real as its something you dont see often..
I was looking down the other end at the time and am kind of happy that I was.
Top job by the photographer, but well done Peter a superb piece of flying.Cheers Gavin:
