Thanks for the info Ian. The version I installed is the one by NZScenery. I'll try to locate the other one and give it a try.toprob wrote:QUOTE (toprob @ Mar 24 2008, 01:49 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I saw the screenshots over at the Avsim forum, Jim. That's certainly weird, it looks like there is a big chunk of missing textures. If might be worthwhile downloading it again and reinstalling.
I'll give that a try. I did reinstall, but that was from the the already downloaded file. I'll download again and see if that works.Alex wrote:QUOTE (Alex @ Mar 24 2008, 12:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I haven't flown there yet but there are no trees on the taxiways and the grass landing strips are not in the river.
Maybe your question should be directed to Ian as he made the recommendation.

P.S. Still need help on the Wanaka problem.

Question wasn't directed at anyone impeticular, um about your problem, maybe you need to flatten the airport? I don't know how to do that, but did the airport come with some instructions in the read me about flattening it?Last edited by NZ255 on Tue Mar 25, 2008 5:38 pm, edited 1 time in total.Nick

Now I have another slight problem as a portion of the south end of the runway is cutoff by the scenery texture.
So, any help on the missing portion of the runway? This wasn't the case before.

Here's a bit from a previous thread:
Things to watch for at Wanaka are:
The installation needs to go to the default FS2004 folder -- anything else will cause problems. You can shift the RealNZwanaka folder anywhere you like after the installation, but if you install it elsewhere the flattens just won't work properly.
The flattens used only really work with the Terrain_Max_Vertex setting of 21. (I think you can get away with 20.) Even though you normally set this to match the mesh resolution, the flattens are rendered pretty much the same as mesh, and require a higher TMV setting.

No, I just mean that if your simulator is installed in D:\FS2004, then you MUST choose D:\FS2004 as the installation path, you can't choose D:\FS2004\Addon Scenery for instance.

OK I tried it and there was no change. There is no auto installer, so I just copied the downloaded file, (not the zip one but the contents) and placed that in the FS9 Directory, then activated it and it is still missing a section of the runway. I deleted the previous scenery before doing this so there would be no holdover.
Still can't figure it out.Last edited by ilovetofly on Wed Mar 26, 2008 11:34 am, edited 1 time in total.

Sorry, my fault, I confused the old Godzone Wanaka with 'Real New Zealand' Wanaka. I'll take a look at the download from Avsim and see if I can figure out a solution.

Thanks,
Jim
P.S. Scenery is by Murray Hall and the airport by Ian Warren
Please ignore this request. Silly me!!! I forgot to activate the scenery in the sim. All is OK now. But still hoping for a fix @ Wanaka.
