Since starting to fly FS9 in about August I have come to enjoy fly on it and broardening its functions. I class myself as a learner but getting better. As a holder of a CPL who no longer can fly(Mortgage and kids) this is the best I have. I therefore want it to be as real as I can get.
I have come into some money ( $500-800.00)and want to buy some add ons for FS9.

Wish list to date.
LevelD 767. Have always loved the DC10 as well so a top notch one of these would also be great

What I want to know from the rest of you seasond pilots is what else can I get. I would appreciate your knowledge in the aircratf /scenery suppliers and where to go and find them and supply me some links.
I fly allot on IVAO and looking at their UK and other European tours soon.
Scenery for Europe and the US would be nice. Links to great Payware suppliers scenery for these areas would be appreciated.
Also for aircraft, I have always loved the DC10, so a top notch one of these would also be great. If I have an aircraft with a working FMC do I require a stand alone flightplanner addd on. If so where do I get one.
Please feel free to mention anything as I open minded and enjoy flying around in different Aircraft and looking at nice scenery.

Maybe an obvious question... but I assume you have already invested in hardware? eg. Yoke, Pedals, Throttle Quadrant...

perhaps you could get some of the other hardware addons like the GoFlight modules...

There is so much out there, looks like we have some similier interests. Perhaps we should meet online when you next go for a flight, and I can point you in the right direction for plenty of stuff you will find very usefull. When do you plan on going online for a flight?

Like James has said, there is just so much out there so it really depends what you are looking for.

As for where to find it- Sim Market has it all. Most individual payware publishers (Carenado, Aerosoft, REAL NZ etc.) sell their products through the website- many coming with an instant download link after you pay online. FS2004 addons are also getting cheaper and cheaper as time goes on, so you are in for a real treat with your $500+ budget.

I think you should reconsider the pedals... they just make everything so much more realistic...

although I tend to fly the lighties more than heavy metal... so it makes more of a difference to me

Im with HCP on this one ,the yoke / pedals are one of the things that make it for me .. you can buy all the payware addons you like ,but if you dont have the right feel to flying them they are just like the last addon really "nothing special "

and a couple of planes from pdmg
+ yoke and pedals from saitek $600.00 = a budget of $850.00 ??
or you could beef things up with a 8600gts graphic card $350.00

For Europe there is some great scenery by sim-wings under the Aerosoft brand. Its available at simmarket. I have alot of their stuff and its well worth the investment

I would realy recomend the Wilco 737 PIC its a great aircraft!

While this is probably an old thread and the OP just listed software as options for the cash.

I'd spend money on a decent yoke and pedals, followed with Track IR.

Then software.
Which ones you want would depend on where you fly and whether heavies or civil, but most you have listed 767 so I guess it heavies.
So I wonder whether you'd benefit from visual scenery if flying heavies.
These are better with yokes I think, (Airbus could get away with joysticks I suppose)
