Abacus FSRepaint V2

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby Nunner » Sat Dec 08, 2007 8:09 am

spending the entire week in conjunction with Abacus I now have the programme up and
running (its a miracle) !
The only thing is is that I am not convinced the whole thing is working.
Anyway I can now paint and do all of that but I am struggling a bit when it comes to putting a registration
number on the a/c or at least how that option works ?
I can write a reg on the a/c but when I close the txt file galf the reg is not there and then when i go back to alter
it I cant and I cannot find a tutorial on how that bit works.
HELP !

I'm still learning how to use this as well but check that you have selected Edit Channel and not just View Channel.

That's caught me out a couple of times. Also there is something about when you confirm that any changes should overight existing textures that sometimes causes me grief.
Testers are born to fiddle. What does this button do? Oh! Never mind.....

Thanks for the reply Bandit but where do I find the Edit Channel and View channel ?
I have had all sorts of problems with this and the author at Abacus has actually re-written a new programe that
I had to over write my download program with!?

I'm assuming yours looks the same as my version.
Once you select the area you want to paint from the textures tab(eg double clicked on it and it is displaying on your main palette) There are 6 boxes up on the top right hand side of the screen. 1 each to choose if you want to view or edit the texture and 2 each for the RGB and Alpha channels.

Hi Bandit,
Yes I do have the same as you.
I get most of it but am struggling when adding text to the aircraft, I position the text write it and then thats the bit I dint get, when
I close it the first letter drops off and then I go back to re-do it and I cant work out how to delete it and then write it again ?
Sounds confusing but hey thats part of learning I suppose?
Cheers

Ta for that but I just sussed it out myself (amazing)....all I need to know now is when one half of the a/c is done how do you transpose
it onto the other half ?
Yes I know I should read the manual but if someone knows sometimes its easier plus when you get into your 50's things get a little
harder to understand or it may just be a patience thing!
Cheers
