Thanks

But some people like myself would like to fly a route but not have to see the whole cruise at night or where you see noting but 1 cloud covering the whole route you are flying.

I'd rather get the satisfaction of being able to say I didn't just sit in front of my computer for 12 hours.. Slightly nerdy isn't it?VH-CC1 wrote:QUOTE (VH-CC1 @ Oct 14 2007, 05:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>why use fs or even fly if ur going to use Time Acceleration...
Because you're really not missing much.. I normally use it from 10 mins after I reach cruise alt until about 5 mins before TOD. If I'm in a good mood.Last edited by victor_alpha_charlie on Sun Oct 14, 2007 6:07 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Well I can't say I do long haul flights to brag about it, who am I going to brag to? ( FS is like my secret shameful fetish noone knows about) and I guess Alister was right, when you're flying online, you've got mates to talk to etc, so I don't speed it up when I'm online.
Generally I prefer to fly larger aircraft, but I don't have much spare time. Due to the fact that two airports capable of handling a 777/747 are normally quite far apart, the best choice for me is to fly those longer sectors while having the sim sped up.

Also on the networks you aren't supposed to (read: against Rules & Regs) fly accelerated flights - which may have been in part what Alister was saying.
Well Alister, its easy to suggest good ideas in retrospect - but in the 'heat of the post', logical thought seems to fly out the window.

Round Kiwi round 3 times, overnight stops.
Charts, planning, wind direction, stuff like that HAS to be sorted er route on x20billion speed there's no time.QUOTEI'd rather get the satisfaction of being able to say I didn't just sit in front of my computer for 12 hours.. Slightly nerdy isn't it?[/quote]
dude, there's BIG BIG money in gaming, more you know about the product more chance you have of getting the sh!t right for it... Nerdy? having cr@p loads of money from playing a flight game, not really. 50% of my flight is for training, can u time accel in real life? NO..
