After speaking to Cessna about it (in NZ demoing a caravan - nice ship !) recon it's an awesome little beast. They've really hit the nail on the head. The industry has been without a suitable trainer replacement since the early 80s and all those machines (C152s, terrorhawks, AA1s etc) are still in sevice as tired old rags. Some places have had to keep em going and others have had to bite the bullet and spend rediculas money on bigger (less suitable) machines like the 172, pa28 etc. This thing is modern and up with the times. Although it may look ugly to some people, those people are the ones used to 30-40yr old designs, its the 21st centery mate !!!! I think its the way to go having the standard glass cockpit, roomy cabin, the new cont O-200 and all the other features that people have wanted over the last 25 years. It is right now going through riggerous testing and thrashing to see how it handels up to training enviroment where various changes will be made to make it the right machine. And at around $180k nz you cant get better value for money

(Considering that that is about the same price of a useless little tincan)
