As it would seem a bit odd mixing Domestic and International Pax who havnt cleared customs... Id imagine it would be a bit of a security risk?![]()

Same- flew Auckland to Osaka on a ANZ767, then swapped to a JAL 747 and continued to London. On the way back, flew JAL 747 from Heathrow to Osaka, then ANZ 767 to Christchurch, waited for a few hours in the terminal, then got onto an empty 747 for the trip up to Auckland which parked at the International terminal.

what happens is that they stamp your boarding pass with "DOMESTIC PASSENGER ON INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT". You still have to go through customs (though from memory they just waved us through) and MAF screening, so no South Island apples in Auckland![]()
