Downloaded the BK-117 this afternoon, and decided to take it for a quick dawn flight around the Mount Cook area.
This must be the first times I've flown a chopper and not ended up in a body of water

A nice flight, and a great helicopter, apart from the violent shaking once it gets around 100kts or so (But perhaps that's just my bad flying :P )

Cool screenshots. Does the model have dynamic shine?

Thanks guys.

Trolly: Not sure if this model has dynamic shine sorry. How can I find this out? It is just the beta BK-117 from the "aircraft" forum 'winch' model.

I think the dynamic shine has something to do with the alpha layer of the repaint which gives off a shine on the fuselage according to the amount of light shined at it in the sim.

There is a sort of glow to the body in shots #1 and #5, but the rest of the shots show a rather mat non reflective bodywork, which IMO in unappealing.

I'm not doing a very good job at explaining, but if you look at this screenie of the default FS9 Bell 206, you can see what I've being trying to describe:

Maybe this is something that they will fix in the beta?

very nice, quite atmospheric there, really get the cold dawn feeling!!
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.
