Average Age of Kiwi Simmer

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

well i am 28 (soon to be 29), i don't get much time anymore, what with working 15 hour days Monday to Friday, then cleaning the truck Saturday and the house on sat-sun, doesn't leave much time, but i love my truck driving, next best thing to flying as far as i am concerned, just cannot afford to fly!!:) or upgrade the computer, or afford all those lovely add ons, or the time to do really long flight (3hrs plus, don't like to use time compression) oh the pain of it all!!!
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Wow I'm not the oldest!!!!

Wish I could say 37 but I have to reverse those figures.
At least can say that I was in the RNZAF and flew in real aircraft - Sunderlands of course, oh how I wish there was a Mark 5 for FSX.
Was doing my CMT when No7 hangar at Wigram was full of Ansons and Oxfords and sadly saw them literally chopped up for scrap.

Those were the days!!!

Hi NormNZ ,when I was doing my time we had about 35 Oxfords used for flying training .Many's the time I have kneeled on the wing winding the handle to start the engines and getting the "kick-backs" when the pilot didn't do it right.boldpilot
