Chasing the sun on a foggy evening in FSX

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

I have decided to expand my horizons in FSX and try some new things, heres a few shots showing what I believe are the stunning visual qualities of the sim as I chased the sun through the hills out to the sea on a foggy evening.

Probably the best screens showing FSX effects off, that I have ever seen.
I'd like to try and duplicate the effects.
Jon please tell us how you set this up, time of day, atmospherics, location etc

Cheers

Deane

Its a standard weather theme 'Fogged in' I think they call it, in the hills above Westport in Spring around 1730-1800, with Light Bloom on.

Always a nice sunset in fs ae :P

The sky textures in the last one are far more realistic and belveable looking than the second to last, the transistion from blue to yellow seems a little to colour full, not that I spend alot of time at 30 thousand feet looking at real sunsets I knwo it doesn't often look like that from the ground

Nice Jon

I've always admired the way FS handles light, and FSX has clearly upped the ante.
Any one of those shots could've stood by itself as a single post.
Great work, Jon.
