Pacific Blue & Vincent lookin fine... YAY BOEING! Oops, wrong post, should be the Boeing vs Airbus thread

This visitor in the capital, all wrapped up so must have arrived yesterday at some stage..

Climbed out from 16, and once through the clouds had great views down the coast...

Got some business done first thing, then spent some time at Ferrymead, mainly looking for the Viscount but you never know what you will find...

Like this DC3, shes seen some years service flying to Antarctica between 1963-66...

Met up with a great guy called David (he says hi Choppernut, friend of yours I believe). He took me 'behind the ropes' so to speak and revealed this...

What is it? This my freinds is a real live Mosquito, I got lots of shots of this, the DAK and Viscount, along with a Harvard and Hudson Bomber. I will post more if people are interested. David gave me incredible access so all my thanks to him for the tour, the chance to take photos and the incredible sharing of knowledge. It was amazing to be able to get close to all three, run my hands over the fuselage skin and in the case of the Mosquito, wonder at the incredible engineering involved to bring this plywood aircraft to life. One thing is to read about these aircraft, its something else to stand before them.
Was also great to meet and spend some time with Jimmy today.

Were they modified specially for antartic conditions or something, and does she still have a reg?
