...but felt that the Baron needs some more air time (according ot the Hobbs meter I have only done 18 hrs). Stunning day and should have little cloud most of the way although there is some haze further inland and some cloud over Wanaka. Flight altitude is 10500ft.

Whoops one heavy landing! - I have been flying the 172 and Archer too much and throttled off and flared a bit early - the Baron requires to be flown right down to the tarmac.
At rest - now off to to see whats left of the warbirds based here and hit the restaurants and bars in Wanaka - should be more action here than Timaru (hope I haven't offended any Timaruites that may read this)
