I've got a Saitek Cyborg Evo, it's also a quality piece of kit. I think saitek is near the top of the market.

I use the microsoft force feedback 2 joystick now for several years without any problems (and a nice price....) The Saitec X.. is another class and price here in Holland.

The Microsoft Force Feedback 2 [USB Connector] Joystick is made like a swiss watch-not easy to get now but scan TradeMe. Check out the construction of it's competitors! By the way, the MS 'stick is made for right-handers & the only weakness i can find is that the shaft protruding from the base of the handle is hollow & has a relatively thin wall. This product does not like being dropped!

I think $120 is a fair price. Make sure it has a USB connector & that it gets SECURELY packed. Also check that it has a 240 volt plug rather than a 110 volt version that requires a 240/110 volt transformer. Nobody ever regretted buying Quality.

Just a word of warning: I think forcefeedback joysticks require more CPU power than normal ones, and can cause a drop in performane in FS!

Just wondering, by force feedback does that mean like control pressures (e.g. trying to push the nose down when you're trimmed all the way back is quite tough) or is it the ole PS2 controller type vibration?

Its the vibration, although I think it simulates control pressures to some degree, although they are sometimes misleading and can prompt the user to over-correct. ;)

That would be cool if you got the stick shaker when you went into a stall

I cannot believe all joysticks are not built like the MS Force Feedback.
Using a sim without FF would be like...oh, there are parallels, but this is a family forum.
I've not noticed any performance drop using one.
It simply adds another sense to the whole experience.
I'm just sad it can't reproduce the smell of burning rubber.
