Leg delayed by CAA requirement for NZ reg! Rolled out of ARNZ paint shop with gleaming new reg into typical Auckland rain (hope the paint is dry!). Thanks Jon for my new NZ reg.

Busy day at NZAA - this flight will be IFR

I also hate Auckland traffic! Thats me behind the Qantas 733. Looks like a long wait for clearance form runway 5

Climbout - Auckland CBD and Skytower peeking through the cloud

Asked for higher cruising altitude to get above the cloud and into the sun.

Safely down - it is strangley quiet here and I only spot an Aztec

Unloading - next stop Wellington - hopefully the computer won't shut down on me like it did on this leg - think my computer is not getting enough cooling.

We only use the best paint available Naki :P Highly unlikely it would get washed off with a little Auckland shower. :D

She looks great by the way, pleased it worked out.

love the baron paint , is there anyway I can get a copy or even a rego ZK-TGY?

just a couple of things on that flight.

In real life that situation at the holding point in NZAA would only happen if there had been a couple of Heavys ahead of everyone there, otherwise the ANZ 733 would have gone from A9, Pac blue may or maynot have gone full length ,QFA 733 would have taken A9 and the SF340 and the B190's would have all gone from A8 or poss even A6 for the B190 and the baron would be sent to either A6 or A8 behind whichever was the last of the scheds.

also, did yu plan via overhead HN to RO? off 05R on a HD SID direct I didn't think you would go anywhere near the Waikato river?
The standard Route Clearance is AARO1 which is via H372 with MSA 5600ft( the NZAA VOR 113 radial)direct RO otherwise via HN is the R134 on H211 and then the HN R089 on H328 RO.

Yeah, but try telling FS to do that!

Sunday drivers...can't keep to their lanes
Towerguy thanks for the post, seems obvious when you read it, that the littlies should need less run.
Wonder if one could implement this somehow.

Very nice Baron guys, wouldn't be ashamed to taxi up to any terminal in that.

Paul, my computer also falls over in the heat so don't feel alone - I have put my desk fan on the floor behind it which seems to work!
Any issues with RealNZ NZRO?

I kept the texture in anticipation of a request, so its ready now - ZK-TGY, I just need an email address to send the texture to.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I should of being more orginal with my rego and perhaps got ZK-NKI ( short for naki) - anyway always wanted a plane with my initials and here it is!
Paul, my computer also falls over in the heat so don't feel alone - I have put my desk fan on the floor behind it which seems to work!

Have moved the hard drive so it gets more cooling - I wondered whether a desk fan would work :D - now I know
Any issues with RealNZ NZRO?
No no issues - great scenery and looking forward to Marlborough - should be magic for me as I am normally a VFR flyer
also, did yu plan via overhead HN to RO? off 05R on a HD SID direct I didn't think you would go anywhere near the Waikato river?

yes I see what you mean - I was flying IFR (direct GPS) as per the FS towers instructions - they seem to direct you all over the place  . The whole flight was a mess anyway as the computer kept turning off and had to restart the whole flight a coupel of times and was difficult holding the camera while flying - especially those shots from outside the plane :D .

anyway next leg will have to wait as I am off for a week up the Corramandel - if the weather improves

Cheers

Paul
