Was having a play with the graphics settings in FSX again, and took these shots.

Flame blelch out from ports on the engine Nacelle constant at takeoff power , then lower when runnig cruz .

Np Ian.

I remember the Aussie Connie, discovery had a doco on it once, i missed most of the series, saw the last episode.

must track it down via the warehouse or someplace like that, would be a nice addition to get my aviation collection running.

Hello, Ian,
For the record I was in the US Navy flying the "Barrier" from Barbers Point Hawaii as a sceond tech electronics.. Flew the EC121K to Midway deployment. Flights would last about 12 hours or so up over Alaska and back to Midway Island. This was back in 1963-65 when they decommissioned the squadron. Used to fly test hops for engine replacements from Barbers Point to Christchurch occasoionally if I needed flight hours. Nice bunch of people down here. Friendly bunch. One of our R7V's (cargo version of Connie) was sent to VX-6 at NAS Quonset Point on 1 Sep 64 and named "Pegasus-7". She flew out of Chrstchurch for Operation Deep Freeze where she ended up having a small mishap and crashed tearing off a wing with no fatalies in 1970 where she remains today. Ian made texture for the SCFA connie of the Pegasus and Phoenix and are quite good, thanks again old man. Loved flying the connie very comfortable, kinda reliable and the Pratt and Whitneys would drone along on those long missions and just put you right to sleep.
