Very nice shot Timmo, I think I may have to wait with baited breath to see what becomes of the scenery in your shot. ;)

Guys we have to figure out a way to get this on the masthead.
Mike's Dude is going to win this month's screenshot contest, right? but there must be some way - can't just dump Ian W off the wing!

You're right, there are plenty of funny things on the web, but they normally just make me laugh once, then they get old. This still makes me laugh every time I see it.

Just though I'd say, that I've put in a new screen shot. Charl gave me a good PM to suggest that it may have been a good idea to remove the last screenshot in respect for those who had a connection with that crash.

Thanks.
I just thought up that picture now. I knew that I'd better do it now or I'd forget about it before we go off to Melbourne.

After my exciting approach to Darwin in a 757 today I decided to change my entry to this, there were thunderstorms and less than 1/4 mile vis, I was limited in time so just went for it, I snaped this the very second the runway came into sight:

Some great shots here again, good luck too all :D

Oh yes, very ooops! A bit too far left for a comfortable finals, but just doable with sweaty palms... ;)

What was the landing like?

those are the sorts of landings where I badly overshoot the runway, and crash into the airport building...

As you can see in the my screenie it wasn't the best approach, I had forgot to make a certain change to the aircrafts cfg file witch caused the nav1 radioto become untuneable, so I had to use a combination of te nav2's dme readout and the gps to fly (it was ment to be a vor/dme app). My pitch and speed were way out and I was a bit to the left (adds to the effect ae). It was the first time I landed that 757 and something that I think is wrong with poskys aircraft is they often tend to sink into the rwy... well tahts what happend, I put it down on the center line and it it oddly wouldn't pitch down, Im prety sure the wheels did the sinky thing (I tried watching reply but then my sim crashed lol)

I had done a landing in cairns the night before were I couldn't even the see the runway when I put the wheels on the ground!(in my 763) That was with a ils, it was my second try at the approach and I couldn't be botherd going to a alternate so I just fly as best I could on the instruments and when I settled the nose on to the ground I was astonisheed to find my shelf traking the center line (just a litle to the left)! :D

Wel I think iv said more than enuf now

Whoaaa! "Scary with a bag" :D

I changed my fogshot to a lowlevel passing pairs shot at Wanaka. I went for the healthy kind of scary with my entry.

But that shot is scary kind of scary! NICE (if everyone could walk away...)

Classy shot there Matt. I was going to enter my C-130 in the competition, but it's so stable in flight I can't make it do anything scary!

**EDIT**
Looks like Wellington can pull out something scary even for the hercules!

Thanks James :D

Its the PSS 777-300ER

I upgraded my sim recently, the graduated brown colour has been added with some editing, the wide view is achieved with the Matrox TH2GO system which links my view across 3 monitors, gives me 180 degree view.
