Hey guys
I took loads of screenies last night using FSX in the NZFF TTEC. Here they are:

40 or so screens at 9mb(approx:

I can see Natas Chopping along underneath me. He also appeared in a Cessna, though he was flying a Sikorsky.

Hey Trolly!

Squirrel and Trolly now in front, but below me

Trolly and I lined up for a formation takeoff at Kaitaia

A bit of a mix-up happened and he left without me :(

CLimbing out of Kaitaia, chasing Trolly. Take special note of the multiplayer chat!!

Now established at Cruise, in front of the pack.

Cruisin

user posted image
By now I had turned my FSX water up to full (only a few FPS dropped, since there wasn't much else to render). Very nice effect, don't you agree!

user posted image
I love it when we're cruisin together....

user posted image
Now on approach to Norfolk Island. Trolly and I were trying a formation landing, but it didn't really work in the caravan.

user posted image
I dunno what Trolly was doin, but it was somthing different to me!

user posted image
I'm parked at the fuel pumps. It looks like, because I didn't install the Aussie mesh, the FS2004 guys were parked 300 ft above me.

Alright, off to lord howe! I tried formating on Trolly, but it was hard work and I ended up just putting me AP on.

Catchin up to ya

At this stage I had to leave the flight (sister was bitching in the background). I promised I'd be back in 2 hours at Lord Howe.

---2 Hours Later---

I reconnected at Lord Howe, and with a little help from Trolly, found myself with the pack, and I was first in line to land at Lord Howe.

On Approach

At Lord Howe, I landed into wind on runway 10. Trolly was about 5nm behind me. So when I turned finals for 10 (after flying downwind and base), Trolly was trying to land directly at me!! I landed anyway, but trolly apparently panicked and crashed near the end of the runway!

Trolly and I were going to have another attempt at a formation takeoff.

user posted image
He started accelerating, so I did too, then he stopped, and I left im behind! We didn't have much luck that night.

Cruising to Port Mac. Trolly and HCP were talking about Hockey

user posted image
I was number 2 to land originally at Port Macquarie, behind ZK-KAG. However under our downloaded weather (which we downloaded during cruise fromLord Howe), runway 10 was the active. KAG and I both acknowledged this and he said he was entering downwind for 10. However I caught up to him ashe found the airport. He got mixed up and landed on runway 01 or something instead! Silly him! SO I touched down first, again.

Nice series!
I'm just amazed that with two different flavours of flight sim operating, you guys were even on the same planet, let alone the same runway!
It actually bends the mind a little, your perceived reality is definitely not the same as the other guy...mmm bit like real life I suppose :o

Think a moment, too, of the pioneers who did this stuff into uncharted areas, no radar, GPS etc etc :o :o

Cool screenies Brock- and thanks ever so much for flying along with me yesterday. I woudn't have been any fun with you being my fixed wing parter to formation with ;)

Man FSX looks so different to FS9, really dry brown land textures everywhere- but your water looks awesome!

Have a look a my piccys in the Flights forum, quite a bit different to yours. It's very cool how we managed to incorporated both FS9 and FSX, fixed wing and rotor wing!

Thanks again

Thanks Trolly, I was glad to fly with ya man.

Once I left Kaitaia, I noticed I was getting a steady 15 FPS and there wasn't really much for the sim to render, so I turned my water effects up to full, only a 2fps frame hit. I figured there wasn't much else to look at, so the water had to do!

Also in your topic the Port Macquarie scenery looks amazing, I had the default :( .

And sorry about landing straight into you, no doubt someone was joking around on the comms and we couldn't get a word in!
