And yet another Dornier

This is a semi-fictional repaint. There really is a D-EGEA and she really did fly in this kind of condition - I have photos.

But I have taken a few liberties with the graffitti

(Incidentally, if anyone was in Celle (HEER helicopters) in the 70's, you may remember a line up of CH53s (or was it Hueys?) that were subject to the similar C and S treatment, either side of the "HEER". I do recall the German commandant may not have been too happy and i do suggest this may be an urban myth. But it was too funny not to be true, and I would have believed that my colleagues at 73 A/C workshop may just have done this for real)

The wings of my previous paint were stored leading edge up and collected a load of dirt, as did the top of the fuselage. The real D-EGEA also had a door borrowed from D-EAWW. The top of the fuselage is also caked with grot and there's generally a lot of "mix and match" about this plane. In the meantime, the real plane has a shiny red nose cowl and clean enging cowlings.

Now as we don't yet have the "bandy legged" Dornier model (yet) - the A5 etc... I have decided to go semi-fictional.

She's a right tramp, but she is loved to bits...

Enjoy! Maybe I'll do some more tweaks, so she's not uploading yet.

Sorry if the screenshot size is too big for the viewing public.

...and while you're waiting, here is another preview:

Almost right first time... just a few tweaks left. The photos I have confirm her as a really shiny plane, so that's ok.

The paint scheme is perhaps unusual, but apparently this was a standard thing with parachute clubs there. The black underside and the white patch under the wing is deliberate. You can see the plane easily against the sky, and the white patch helps to spot the door opening and the jumpers exiting.

Hi Chris, what happened to the light blue colour of the upper side of the wings. You didn't like it anymore?

The large images above are the pre-release ones. I changed to light blue afterwards, so the download version has the light blue wing uppers.

Sorry or the confusion.
