Heres my little review of this mornings Operation Deep Freze event on IVAO. A total flight time of 6 hours :D

06:10: cell phone starts madly virbrating, I get out of bed and turn on my pc..At ...0610AM! (its amazing what a little bit of motivation can do!)

at 0645 I conect to IVAO (my given depature slot) and get ready to recive clearance..

1) heres the posky C17 at NZCH before conecting.

2)Heres after conection! The fps droped to less than 1.

3) after waiting 10mins for sim to reaload (I turned display setting way down, even clouds off to 2d) heres my new view, still getting only 3fps. Anyway back to the event, It was neat hearing the coms so busy, although I had to wait anothor 10mins for my clearance!

10)Heres a nice view of the whole event in ivAe. Looks prety neat a whole string of pilots! over 40 ppl participated.

13)After about 20mins of being forotton by atc (aparently there IVAC wasnt working) eventuly someone said its just vfr and the channel is an advisory, so I just went into land.

14)I decided to land long as the rwy has a tendency to disapear! btw when I turned the fs sound off ("q") I got good steady 20+ fps, turning sound of never seems to have any differance, with it on flying around mcmurdo only gave me 7fps, big drop. What could this be?????

So thats all, I really enjoyed this flight, well sorta, my frame rates ruined the departure alot :(

It was fun flying a whole 6hours, I was able to do other stuff on my pc aswell thow:P
So all in all it was a good event! I even meet a spanish guy, he was excacly 12 hours behind us here in NZ! I thort that was quite neat.

I hope to see more nzff members at the next event (nudge nudge)

Hey James, cool screens. That panel looks pretty good aesthetically, but on closer inspection it doesn't really tell you much.

I was talking to James through some of the cruise portion.

Why don't you tell em about your speed attempts, James?

O yes I had quite some fun with the spped, since it was a really boring panel with nothing to do I decided to see how fast I could go, I wound the at up to .90 then after some time I put it up to .95! lol I dont think the aircraft actuly ever excalerated past 88 thow....

Yeah the heads up is prety kool , prety low res and hard to read thow so guages are just as good. Yeah the fps prety much ruined most of the flight but its still neat talking to atc :P

Looks like you had fun Jimmy :D Thanks for sharing your flight with us!

What C17 model is that, it looks pretty 'mean'

Also, congrats on the landing, that moving runway sinking bug really distracted me at my landing attempts

Hi trolly.

The C17 is from avsim, just search C17 and its on the first page I think, its a fs2002 and was about 6mb lol (sorry no time to look now but shouldn't be hard to find)

Its made by projectopensy. Quite nice but textures take ages to load and a bit hard on perforance

Nice screenshots guys, you'll have to do it again in FSX and compare the difference. 1fps and I thought lockon was bad with just 8 in high traffic.
