Hello

Well I loaded up today to do a quick ivao flight since there was NZAA_APP and _TWR , sadly thow the ts server kept rejecting me so I was unable to do my flight on ivao so just did it offline.

I havent posted some screenies here since I got my new pc so I thort id jst get some of this quick little flight. (notice in the shots I have left the frame counter displayed, I left it showing purely so I can have a jolly good moan lol)

Looking out over nzar, I love this vc :P

Well, one frame per second, thats a new low <_<

Heres a look at the taskmanager, I have noticed lately my cpu usage is at 100% all the time, even if I just have the fs create a flight screen running I still get 100% useage, I hope my cpu isn't stuffed.

Here we go, this is why I love this flight :D One minitue your climbing out, the next your on final! I had reasnably good fps on final, between 10 and 16, well not that good, understand why my flying is bit bad sometimes?

Toch down! well a wee bit after touch down, I had to wait for the textures to load after switching to spot lol gota love this scenery too , Its really nice!

All shut down, now ill go fly that 744 over there B)

so thats were my system is at the moment, I would be expecting alot better but thats how it looks/peforms, now just imagine what its like when im trying to fly a posky aircraft

Aircraft: Just flight PA-38
Scenery: auckland 2005
Weather: real world
Time of day in sim: mid morning (i think)
Traffic: was turned off, those ac are static.
Thses shots have not been edited ,just croped so they load faster.

Thanks for looking at my little moan

I to have found Ardmore a little hungry on frames, but I guess that's just part of having a detailed scenery package which requires the hardware to run it.

Here's my specs:

Amd Athlon 64 3200+
Geforce 6, 6600GT 128MB PCI-E
1GB Turbo Ram

I generally don't have to many probs around the Auckland area, and average 24FPS on the ground at Auckland, and about the same at Ardmore.

I've found that by locking your FPS to 25 you get a greater performance from your gaphics card, and it frees up your CPU to focus on other tasks....than trying to get the maximum FPS outta your gfx, and suffering poor texture quality etc.

well i install those auckland airports nzar nzaa nzne etc...and my frame drop big time im going to take them out sadly as i once had a soild 25 flp across town and around the auckland region now im getting only 10-13 flps (thats bad for this puter )the only thing i added where those airports ,,the other region that does this is tauranga all the rest NZ are soild frames at 25 for me ,,, my cpu runs at that sometimes but only when its having a spit and has one of those moment <_<

i think a computer will never be a finshed product and will never run just right
like we,d like it too

just go have a play on a pentum 1 for about ten minute without internet then jump back on your and think well its not bad ..

yeah could just be the bad scenery but im afriad to say I get smilar performace even when flying around a defualt grass strip in the middle of nowere  its the same everywere, I find the akl is actuly one of the better ones as the bulidings disapear when you fly not too far away wich helps (barely) Im not really sure whats up with my pc, I think ill need to get a new vid card or something.

Hey Jimmy,

Looking at your screenshots of AA, I think you could use a new AFCAD... :P

Now this is really bad :whoops: , but have a look at my one created specifically for Auckland 2005...

Its on Avsim, just search for "Keagan" on Avsim and my V3 is as accurate as it'll get according to the AIP and the scenery... Also depends whether you are runing Project AI or the like too :)

Hope I didnt blow my horn too much, I am just a stickler for as close to realism as possible...

Regards,
~Keagan~

I also found that Auckland 2005 scenery extreamly tough on the ole' FPS, thats why I don't have it installed anymore.

Just another though- if you are using Wisdomsoft Screen Hunter, and choose your screenies to be saved in .JPEG format, every time you take a screenie, your FPS will reduce dramtically because your CPU needs to condense it to a .JPEG. I always save as .BMP and I have no FPS issues, only about 300mb of new screenies after every flight :P

We'll just have to wait until Robin brings out a great NZAA then... :P

Nice pics James, just your frames are a bit low.

Oh thanks guys, my graphics card is a fx5600, I personaly dont like AA cos i can hardly see the differance and the frames get cut in half.

Im useing fsscreen wich saves em as .bmp anoying when I want to change them to jpegs but is just a small little app running in the background doing hardly anything so I like it.

Yup ill get that afcad, at the ,moment i don't really care about how realistic my taxiways are though, id just like to have a smooth fs hehe

So the nzaa05 is quite taxing ae? I havent noticed it tooo be much worse than anyother addons but Ill get rid of it and use something else, what does everyone else use? (freeware, Ill get realnz one once iv got my pc to the point I want it)

I like the nzaa that I have installed but Im not so fond of the city as the landclass seems really mucked up and looks prety terrible....

thanks
James
