Another day, another chance to test out my new Wellington scenery with real world weather.

Today I took my PMDG Beechcraft 1900d for a regional Air New Zealand flight, from Wellywood (NZWN) to Rotovegas (NZRO). Here are 11 screenies I took along the way (1.30mb)

1. Takeoff from runway 16

2. Climbing above the harbour, looking back at NZWN

3. Nice shiny bodywork of the PMDG model

4. Overhead Paraparaumu as I climb to 15,000 feet

5. Still climbing above the cool real weather clouds

6. Cruising along above the western coastline

7. Passing Mt Ruapehu, the summit surrounded by cloud

8. A wing view over Lake Taupo

Excellent series and the right aircraft for those sceneries.
Robin has a thing for fences, huh?
Did you alter the real-world weather for lower visibility?

Thanks.

He sure does!

Nope, why do you ask?

I'm not sure why I abandoned real-world weather long ago (there was some issue with IE5 or 6 I think) but I have a thing for it nowadays. I was interested to see that the visibilty settings are part of the download. Every time I fly RW weather it is quite different.
Love it!

I hardly ever use real-world weather as I normally make up my own themes, but after seeing your post the other day during the storms, I decided to give it a go and have not stopped since :)

As far as I am aware, the visibility is included, real world weather always alters it below a certain altitude. Beforehand I had it set on clear, so it obviously has changed it a lot.
