45, and proud of it !! Been Flight Simming since the release of FS-95. Used to do the real thing up until 1988. Other things (she calls them commitments), like Marriage, Children, House etc got in the way of the flying.

38 here.

But if I spend too much more time bouncing around the hills and valleys. The wife might make my chances of reaching 39 a bit dicey.

19. Gave myself a 16th birthday prezzie of a trial flight, a week later had lesson one..............since then nothing, apart from my very enjoyable ten minutes with the stick of an Aeronca 7 Champ. But, until finances allow, I have to push my dreams of PPL and vintage/warbird ratings aside.

I've been simming since Dad bought me FS98 from Cash Converters in about 2000. Got a copy of FS2002 Pro from a mate in '03, only bought FS9 because Aeroplane Heaven's K5054 (Hi Ian! :D ) wouldn't work.

Never looked back, and I'm keenly awaiting FSX. Bring it on, Bill!

I'm 36 and only found out about FS a year ago,but been flying Cessna's since I was 16.I have only 3hrs in my log book but have about 30hrs piggyback flying mostly in a Cessna 210 and 180 taildragger.
I'm kinda glad I didn't find out about FS when I was young as I would have stayed home and missed out on so much actual living. Now I have kids and a mortgage and want to stay home anyway,(going out seems a hassle) There are plenty of female pilots in real life, the last time I flew on a 737 the pilot was female and really good! and not a bad pilot either, coming into Wellington sideways as you do! So surely they must practise on FS,maybe they just use default FS and never multiplay, can't say I blame them some guys are such skin flautists and scare them off and give us all a bad name.
Probably the best thing about being an 'older' simmer is that if you really want that addon and want to go and spend $1000 on your sim (like I did recently) you can(as long as she can spend the same on what she wants) and you can afford it better than someone at school or uni(same diff)
Mind you I wouldn't blame a kid for wanting to stay home and FS instead of going out in this day and age ,it seems alot harder for a kid to have fun these days without breaking some law or bylaw.

I'm 32 and been simming for 11 years. Started with FS 5.1 while at the Dunedin City Council, then FS98, FS2000, FS2002 & FS2004.

Life, marriage, children, church commitments and a fledgeling VA that I am working on are taking more time than actually simming. Must relax one day.

heck, seems like all the young ones are taking the cake.been simming since just after 2002 came out, actually found it harder to land than the real thing. You don't have the perspective that you get in an actual aircraft, the feel the sounds, the vibrations,it all plays a part but it shore does beat gardening.I must be in that very select range,so don't none of you young uns go calling me pops,or gramps,at 63 I'm still young.

Matt pleeeease dont go there "whipper-Snappers" is what our grand parents called us 4 when we were only little kids it drove us all insane and the whole grabbing/pinching of the cheeks by the great grandparents is what took the cake. hahahaha see I complain really well when I want.

Fifty-three here with twenty plus years on sim. I went to simming because it was cheaper than real world flying and I must admit, in my opinion, the "legislation" and such behind RW flight makes it tedious. Flying itself is not too hard, it's all that legalese stuff! And the price? Well, I thought simming was cheaper, but I have spent enough on computers in the meantime to have even afforded a German PPL by now!

Maybe when I retire? And that may not be too long with the current Airbus situation...

70 yrs, still loving simming.

I think that's great! I'm 41 years old, and I hope that when I'm 70 I'm still fit and healthy and building high spec computers to play Microsoft World Simulator.
