Hi

I'm woundering what you all use to take screenies.
For the past year iv been useing the "flight sim manager" screen graber but my aircraft only apperar in 30% percent of the screenshots

and when it converts them to jpegs they get all misty. :huh:

If i'm just wanting to take one shot ill use the print screen button then ctr v in photoshop. :unsure:

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I use IrfanView. i save as a high quality Tiff generally, then resize and convert/rename using the same program as a jpg. Other programs I found captured both screens even if I selected the active or main one only, which was a pain cropping the second monitor out of each one.

I use what Alister uses, its very good. Saves as .bmp by default and uses very little resources.

I use and swear by "Snagit" - it's payware though. Very intuitive and VERY flexible.

There may be a long trial or shareware version out.

There is so much freeware available...
FlightSim Manager 2.8 is more than just a single utility...
"From Install Wizard, hangar option, aircraft editor, to complete diagnostic " goes the blurb, and it almost replaces the front end of FS9.
One thing it can do is start up FS after flushing all remnant leftovers from memory, which I suspect can help frame rates somewhat.
If it has a failing then it is that it is so comprehensive it takes longer to learn than the sim itself

Oh and it does have a screen capture module as well.
I often use HiJaak Pro, which is a freebie utility I got bundled with something in WIN 98 and has just somehow stayed on every computer since.
What's good is you can capture to file or clipboard, among other options, so you can choose whether to fix it now or later.
