Nicely captured atmosphere mavman,

What model Dove is that, and where did you find the RNZAF repaint?

I have the DH-104 package by 'Classic British Flight Sim' (http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/) but could never find the NZ paint.

Not sure of the exact version of this aircraft, just know it as the DH104 Dove. It can be found at flightsim.com search for DH104v1.zip for the aircraft and nz1803.zip for the repaint.
A great wee machine for cruising around in, has no VC but the 2D panel is so good and so well detailed you don't need it. :)

Great Pics, pretty much over my house! in "sun rising over a chilly Dunedin" about 1.5 inches down from the horizon in the exact middle of the shot is my house! Good shot of the heads,it will soon have the Albatross colony, lighthouse and gun turrets in a scenery I'll do as soon as I learn to do them! The Dove is a must have, payware quality plane. One of my favorites.
2 wrongs don't make a right but 2 Wrights made an aeroplane!

Can't wait for a Dunedin scenery release, you're right Codge the Otago City and peninsular area contains some fantastic scenery! That and the fact that there are 2 airports (one an international the other a GA field) make it a very interesting place indeed!

Sort of noticed this aircraft because of this discussion, but never got around to installing it...too busy painting AI and other stuff even to load the sim, really!
Treated myself to a quick half hour over the Far North with it, and it is a real pleasure.
It's such a good model - there's no wise-ass stuff, Derek Palmer has just made an honest aircraft that's great to look at.
I was especially intrigued with the distortions of light in the plexiglass, just flew the aircraft from outside panning round and round. It's in my Keep hanger for sure.

Superb shot Charl
So much interest in the Devon , and amazingly fun , was pleased with help from the Staff guys/girls at Wigram Museum , only 1 in the world with astrodome and VHF/UHF aerials and old radio Nav/gear hooked on it .

Got finger crossed Derek is moving towards a VC model , HD here for future at

Ian :)

You involved with the project?
Thanks for the URL I've bookmarked it.
Of course that Mt Cook Airlines HS 748 is my favourite ride ever out of your Invercargill...

Ah the talent that lurks within these borders... :ph43r:
A VC would make it well-nigh perfect, you have some leverage there?

It would do , with cabin , I don't have any influnce , just the typical pretty 'please' fingers crossed and eye closed hoping .
I should finish of the old Mount Cook 748 paint , the 68 debut , the International MC and the 70s to mid 80s Scheme . I no the pilot guy who first flew the plane in to NZ thought bee good to get some log book details , the MC Intl is the interesting 1 , used as a medvac ops in asia mid 80s B)
