I spent the latter part of my afternoon out on my deck with my scanner and binoculars in hand, watching all the aircraft buzzing up and down the Tamaki River as the day drew to an end.
Once the sun set, I went indoors and recreated the Great Barrier Airlines flight I had just watched pass overhead me (NZGB-NZAA)
Here are a few screenshots I took during my flight:
1. Over Waiheke Islander, looking towards the mainland

2. Still over Waiheke, but looking back towards the Barrier

3. Arriving over Browns Island, with Rangitoto to the right

4. Above Half Moon Bay Marina

5. Looking out the BN window at my house

6. Flying over Glen Innis

7. Another view of my suburb

8. Looking the other way towards Downtown

9. Reaching the Panmure Lagoon

10. Above the East Tamaki Industrial Estate

11. 1300 feet above the Southern Motorway
