What wonderful weather we had up here in Auckland yesterday!

I spent the latter part of my afternoon out on my deck with my scanner and binoculars in hand, watching all the aircraft buzzing up and down the Tamaki River as the day drew to an end.

Once the sun set, I went indoors and recreated the Great Barrier Airlines flight I had just watched pass overhead me (NZGB-NZAA)

Here are a few screenshots I took during my flight:

1. Over Waiheke Islander, looking towards the mainland

2. Still over Waiheke, but looking back towards the Barrier

Cheers Alex,

The model is from www.m-r-software.de/ac_eng.htm

The GB repaint can be found on avsim... but we are yet to see a Mountain Air livery- anyone keen to make one?

Alex, if you get Rob Diebold's Great Barrier Island Scenery, both Claris and Okiwi, you get the AI Islanders for Great Barrier and Mountain Air with it (gbisld.zip from AVSIM.
The flyable model also from AVSIM for Great Barrier Air ZK-REA. You will need the following files from AVSIM for the flyable model.......

bn2rea.zip
BN32Rest.zip
BN32Snd.zip
DIBNA32G.zip

Its a really nice model, and the sounds are GOOD.

Lawrie.

I just looked at the plane download page and grabbed the first lot then realised I need plane texs (I think) then when I looked at the read-me in the files it was all too much for a quick lunchtime install!!

Help, Trolly :o

... and people think connecting to Vatsim or IVAO is hard ....

Howdy Neighbor............. Jeez Matt, getting the 4 files required, and putting them together to get the completed Islander isnt hard. To a man of your experience and talents, it should be a breeze. Took me 15 mins to put it all together. Guess you gotta alow time for actually eating lunch at lunchtime i suppose......... :P

For me, that aircraft was the most complicated installation I have ever come across!

I think it was because the readme was originally in German that I found the process a little hard to understand- but eventually I got it all sorted and it now runs great with the Aero Commander 500 panel and .air file
