Yes thanks for that link, already had D/L though.
I think it might have worked properly, if only I had have told it to compensate for 100 knot headwinds!?! (this is the info the FMC was giving me anyway) Is this correct? 90-100 knot headwinds the whole way and 10-15 knot crosswinds. BTW I had real world weather on (YMML-YPPH)

Yup, Ive experenced some pretty strong winds both in the sim and real :)

Ha, would have been sweet going the other way. Just about could have turned the engines off! :P

IFR rules are 'sufficient to reach your desitination + your alternate + 45 minutes to allow for holding etc.' It's all calculated on time rather than distance, so winds are taken into consideration. The fuel burn will depend on your aircraft, loading, cruise altitude & speed. The plane may come with this information in the docs, or if not, then you'll need to google it, or worst case determine the figures by imperical measurement.

VFR rules are: sufficient to reach your destination + 30 minutes (day) or 45 minutes (night).

Headwinds of 100 knots are typical westbound across the Tasman :D I must admit once I've had to top up in flight due them hehe

Does 6,000kgs/hour sound about right for b767? Only article I could find.

Nick

That would depend on Load/Altitude/Cruise speed/EGS and air density/temperature I think.

Sorry Charl, but you cant trust the FS9 Fuel Planner.. :P

Yes, It depends on your alternate. I normally carry around 1 hour extra fuel..

How about the one in FSX? I haven't spent much time playing around with it yet so I'm not sure if the FSX one is any better.
