First Osprey

Heard a strange noise nearby and FlghtRadar showed me this. Probly returning to base from the airshow on the Gold Coast at the weekend.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Pleased to see the helo disease has spread to the landable ships, Mike.

The AAC is out at Oakey, about 30km the other side of Toowoomba. They train a lot of Indonesian crews. There is quite a bit of RAAF activity around too, this last month.
I didn't follow the Osprey once I knew what it was. No doubt there was some "Left hand down a bit" coming up, if they were heading for Oakey.

Would be cool to catch an Osprey...I was in Noosa a few weeks ago and two Super Hornets came screaming over quite low.

Happened to see this pop up in my feed live on the weekend, shot from a boat out off the coast, so caught some of the Osprey action, some ferocious F18/22/35 fly-bys too
